Abby Foster, owner of Nannies, International, has been commissioned by the secretive Collector to obtain the Crystal Flacon, believed to have been in the possesion of the infamous Lucrezia Borgia. But why should a nanny be set such a task? Seems Abby has secrets of her own. She also runs Finding Justice, an organization dedicated to returning art and other treasures lost during WWII to their rightful owners. With the specialized skills she's learned, getting the Flacon should be easy. She hadn't counted on channeling Lucrezia or falling for the Duke D'Este, the present day owner of the Flacon and his little girl.
Antonio D'Este, the direct descendent of Lucrezia Borgia, is a modern man with modern problems. A recent widower, he needs a nanny to take care of his five year old daughter while he prepares for the launching of "Lucrezia", the new scent for Borgia, the family-owned perfumery. Inspired by the beautiful Crystal Flacon that contained a rumored magical perfume, Antonio is focusing on a grand success for the new perfume. He hadn't taken into consideration that he might be distracted by the beautiful nanny or the strange effect making love with her has on him.
Then someone attacks the perfumery, damaging property, disrupting projects in an attempt to ruin the company. And the attacks are becoming more violent.
Now Abby's plans have changed. Using abilities honed by missions for Finding Justice, she must find out who is behind the plot to ruin Borgia before she loses everything she's come to love.
Julie Turner returns to the quiet town of Greenrock, PA to open a male stripping club with her three best friends and as part of the opening, they’re running a contest to find the best strippers.
The club is also being used as the base of operations by two very different males. Mike Winstead, is a Tracer. a hunter from another world chasing after an alien sexual predator who's come to Greenrock. And Tzahyad, the predator, a shape shifting, vampire-like alien who drains his victims of their sexual energy.
Two men want Julie - one for love, one for seduction; one for life and one for death. Choosing the right man has never been quite so crucial.
The song is called "Dia Luain, Dia Mairt" which is Gaelic for Monday, Tuesday. In the song, Donal the hunchback, hears the beautiful voice of a fairy singing the same phrase over and over. When he finishes the phrase for her, she removes his hunchback.
I just took the idea a couple of steps further...
Lusty Donal Bawn had both skill in love and beauty in song. But his overweening pride bought the enmity of the god Ogma, and he was cursed:
A hunchback you shall be, with no virility. Your voice, thin as a reed that naught shall heed. Only in the forests wild or the mountains high, where man or woman seldom draw nigh, shall you regain your nature true, though little good ’twill do you. Fleeting shall those moments be, until one loves you, no matter what she'll see.
Lovely Ceoleen of the Sidhe was born to be a bard. But her vanity and her pride brought the wrath of the Council on her, and she, too, was cursed:
All you may utter is one short phrase to give you solace the long, lonely days. Whosoever finishes this song for ye, your rightful spouse he shall be. The very last sight you shall see is your beautiful face, little comfort though it be. Until you can see and hear with your heart, this mallacht from you will never depart. All here within the hall mark this day and what I say.
Chance brought them together in their forest homes, and together they satisfied their lust, but only their love could finish The Song of the Sidhe.
